P. Hubertus Freyberg

Pater Hubertus Freyberg CRVC (* 13. März 1958 in Ehingen) ist Hausgeistlicher des Hauses Regina Pacis in Leutkirch.

Biografie

Hubertus Freyberg ist das jüngste Kind von Ernst Otto von Freyberg-Eisenberg-Allmendingen (* 15. Juni 1911) und seiner Mutter Beate von Pressentin (gen. von Rautter * 3. Juni 1921). Aufgewachsen ist Freyberg in Allmendingen. Er ging in Allmendingen zur Schule und besuchte dann das Ehinger Gymnasium, unterbrochen durch einen zweijährigen Internatsaufenthalt im Martinihaus in Rottenburg. Als Konviktor in Ehingen legte er am Wirtschaftsgymnasium in Biberach das Abitur ab. Ab 1979 studierte er Volkswirtschaft und Betriebswirtschaft in Freiburg und Köln, trat ins Kloster Mariabronnen bei Waldshut („Kongregation der Brüder vom Gemeinsamen Leben“ - Abk.: CRVC) ein und begann dort ein Philosophie - und Theologiestudium (unter anderem auch bei Christoph Schönborn). Nach der Priesterweihe war Hubertus von Freyberg zehn Jahre in der Pfarrseelsorge tätig, u. a. am Münster in Villingen, in Waldshut-Tiengen, in der Pfarrei St. Martin in Freiburg. Seit 2001 war das Tagungshaus der Malteser in der Nähe von Köln für zwei Jahre seine Wirkungsstätte. Bischof Gebhard Fürst bestellte ihn zum Hausgeistlichen von Regina Pacis ("Ort heilender Begegnungen"), einem Tagungshaus in Leutkirch, das er seit Juli 2003 leitet.

Pater Freyberg nimmt beim Fernsehsender EWTN in der Sendereihe „Wozu Gott?“ zu Fragen Stellung, die Menschen an einen Geistlichen haben (siehe Link auf Kathtube).
